Damon Zumwalt, the pioneer of peer group security and crowd control, first organized CSC in 1967 as a much-needed solution for entertainment security. After receiving his degree from UCLA, where he was well known for both his athletic and leadership skills, Damon expanded CSC into a full service corporation. His innovative systems and CSC's success across the United States have made him a respected authority in the crowd management field. Over the past forty-one years, Damon has directed the growth of the company from its modest beginnings into a global firm with fifty thousand employees and thirty-nine branch offices.

Jim began his career with CSC in June of 1991 as the Director of Operations and has over 22 years of experience in the crowd management field, including management of the CSC Los Angeles branch office. Jim has formulated and executed operational plans at numerous major events, including the Rose Bowl game and Rose Parade, UCLA football, World Cup Soccer, the Super Bowl, USC football, Raiders football and numerous concerts and special events. Prior to joining CSC, Jim spent 15 years working in the field of crowd management and is currently responsible for all of CSC’s administrative functions and corporate operations.

Mark Camillo serves as CSC’s Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and is internationally recognized as a law enforcement and security professional. He has exceptional expertise in the area of emergency preparedness operations and is credited with directing the security operations of some of the most critical infrastructures in the world.
Mr. Camillo began his career in law enforcement as a Special Agent in the U.S. Secret Service where he completed a distinguished 21-year career that included three separate assignments at the White House. Specialized assignments required protecting four U.S. Presidents and family members in various capacities and ultimately serving as head of the White House Security Branch, which encompassed the supervision of daily security, emergency preparedness and all-hazards operations at the White House Complex. Following his final White House tour of duty, Mr. Camillo was appointed to the position of Secret Service Deputy Assistant Director, detailed to the headquarters of the newly created Department of Homeland Security. He continued working in critical assignments until his return to Secret Service headquarters where he was appointed the Chief Technology Officer for the agency.
Mr. Camillo has held several key positions during his career in major event planning, most notably being appointed as the Olympic Coordinator for the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics. Under his direction, the Secret Service executed its mission through Presidential Executive Order to design, plan and implement the Federal operational security plan for the Games. The successful execution of this carefully designed preparedness and prevention plan was later identified by the White House Office of Homeland Security as an excellent model for future security designs at Events of National Significance.
Mr. Camillo also serves as an appointed member of the American Society of Industrial Security’s Global Terrorism Council, is an active member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, and is Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Academy for Venue Safety & Security, conducted annually by the International Association of Assembly Managers. Most recently, Mr. Camillo was named a Senior Fellow at the George Mason University Center for Infrastructure Protection, serving as a subject matter expert in security studies and operations.

Mark is presently serving as CSC’s Vice President of Operations and the Regional Manager for the western branches. Mark began his career with CSC in 1987 while he was a student at the University of Northern Colorado. In 1989, Mark moved to Miami to help establish CSC’s Joe Robbie Stadium operation where he developed crowd management plans for the new Miami Arena and the Orange Bowl. He moved back to Colorado in 1991 to work in the family business but continued to work for CSC as a supervisor on a part-time basis. He coordinated security plans for the Papal visit events in 1992 and returned to full-time management in 1993 at CSC’s new Jacksonville office. Mark developed crowd management plans for the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Jacksonville Coliseum, Convention Center and Performing Arts Center. He returned to Colorado in 1996 to assume the Branch Manager position and oversaw the operations at Coors Field, including the 1998 all-star game. A veteran of 10 Super Bowls, Mark completed the Disney Institute’s People Management class and received the 1998 CSC Manager of the Year Award. Additionally, he wrote and presented the NFL’s Best Practices for Stadium Security and has been the guest speaker at the IAAM’s International Crowd Management and Arena Management Conference. He is also a member of Major League Soccer’s Safety and Security Committee as well as a Member of IAAM’s Life Safety Committee.

Keith is a financial executive with a strong operations background. His expertise is in service organizations, multi-location oversight, franchising, negotiations, certified auditing and tax planning for public/private companies. Keith spent more than 10 years at Great Expectations as the Chief Financial Officer. He was instrumental in the firm’s growth from 10 locations to 50 locations and more than $80 million in system-wide sales. His responsibilities included managing the growth of franchising and company owned operations as well as directing and supervising key aspects of the marketing, sales, technology, finance and legal departments. Before joining CSC, Keith provided CPA services, including operational and financial consulting, to various businesses. Keith is a Certified Public Accountant and received a B.S. in accounting with distinction from the University of Rhode Island. He has worked with large local CPA firms both in NYC and Los Angeles and is well seasoned in auditing, internal controls, financial statements, taxation and a wide variety of services including forensic accounting and fraud auditing.

Abraham is a technology executive with strong hands-on skills and has been with CSC since November 2002. Abraham has served as a technical project manager for the LAPD and has led many high-profile IT ventures. He has also written many sound modules for leading studio software companies and has managed the technology needs for a number of events, including the Super Bowl, the Rose Bowl and the Olympic Games. Abraham designed the online workforce management tool which CSC uses to schedule and manage their workforce across the country. He also designed the accreditation software used to manage the accreditation for the PGA Championships, Ryder Cups, and many Bowl Games. Abraham has a B.S. in computer Information Systems, a Masters in Information Systems, a Masters in Business Administration, and a B.A. in Music. He also has more than 13 years of experience in the field of technology and programming.

Jim began his legal career as a defense litigator in Santa Monica, CA before entering into practice as a corporate and securities attorney in Los Angeles. He has been with CSC’s legal department since 2002 and currently oversees all contract negotiations and legal matters affecting CSC. Jim obtained his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the University of California at Berkeley and received his law degree (J.D.) from the University of Southern California.

Devan began her career with CSC in 2000 and currently serves as the Vice President of Marketing. Her professional affiliations include the American Marketing Association and the Business Marketing Association. In addition to her role with CSC, Devan also serves as the Vice President of Business Development for ProtaTECH LLC, an information technology company under the umbrella of the Contemporary Group. Devan received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from the University of Southern California in 2004.

Jay began his career with CSC while he was a student at North Carolina State University in 1990. He started as a supervisor and worked his way up to an assistant manager position. After graduating with a degree in engineering, Jay became an event manager for CSC Florida. In 1995, he became the branch manager of CSC's expansion office in Pittsburgh and managed the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers accounts. In 2000, he was again promoted and returned to Florida as the General Manager of CSC South Florida. In 2001, he took over as the Regional Manager for the Southeast, and in May of 2005, was promoted to Corporate Vice President of Operations along with Mark Glaser. Jay is a veteran of 14 Super Bowls, during which he oversaw all stadium security operations. He has worked with all of the major professional sports leagues, multiple university programs, numerous stadium concerts, and an untold number of special events. Jay manages one of the largest operations in CSC’s structure and ensures that all of CSC’s operations are conducted with the services and detail that our clients have come to know and expect. Jay’s expertise has allowed CSC to place him in charge of its National Management Training Program, where he develops and trains future CSC managers through classroom study and hands-on event experience. Along with Mark Glaser, Jay led the development of the NFL security best practices program for the NFL Security Task Force sub-committee and traveled throughout the U.S. in 2003 and 2004, presenting the final product to NFL teams and stadium operations personnel.
Bruce Wagner Vice President, Operations

Bruce began working in the event management industry in the mid 1970's, working events such as Off Road and Supercross Motocross Racing. Between 1982 and 1990, Bruce managed the House Staff at the Hollywood Bowl before beginning his tenure with CSC in the early 80’s working as a field supervisor. In 1990, he assumed responsibility for the CSC Event Staff operations at the Hollywood Bowl, which he maintained until his transfer to Nashville in November of 1996. During that time he was also the General Manager of CSC’s sister company, Crowd Management Inc. From 1993 to 1996, he was responsible for the day to day operations of Crowd Management Inc. at the Los Angeles Sports Arena and Coliseum complex and the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
Serving as Branch Manager, Bruce opened the Nashville Branch of Contemporary Services Corporation in 1996. The Nashville office currently provides event services for the Sommet Center, home of the NHL Nashville Predators, LP Field, home of the NFL Tennessee Titans, Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, Tennessee State University, Western Kentucky University and Middle Tennessee State University. In 2000 Bruce was awarded the Contemporary Services Corporation Manager of the year.
In 2001, Bruce was promoted to Regional Manager and in January of 2009, he was promoted to Vice President of Operations. Bruce has traveled throughout the country for CSC to help in the training and opening of new offices and venues including the Ice Palace in Tampa Bay, the Gaylord Entertainment Center, now named the Sommet Center, Titans Coliseum, now named LP Field, Nashville Superspeedway, the Curb Center at Belmont University, and Allen Arena at Lipscomb University. Bruce has also assisted in the opening of the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, All Tel Arena in Little Rock, Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, the Ford Center in Oklahoma City, Coors Field in Colorado, CSC’s Atlanta branch office servicing the Georgia Dome, CSC’s Knoxville branch office servicing UT Knoxville, and the CSC St Louis branch office. Bruce attended Santa Ana College in Santa Ana, CA.
Tim Tyrrell Vice President, Business Development

Tim spent eight years in the direct hire/staffing industry and was the owner of Aspen Productions Inc., an Independent business development agency for the construction, restoration and painting industries. He currently holds the position of Vice President of the NFLPA Former Players-Chicago Chapter, following a 2 ½ year term as President and earning “Chapter of the Year” award.
Tim was a running back in high school until knee surgery sidelined him his senior year. After a two year layoff he decided to walk-on at a local Junior College, William Rainey Harper JC. He started as a running back but was converted to a Quarterback three weeks into the season. He played the next two years as starting Quarterback resulting in twelve scholarship offers after his 2nd year. He accepted a scholarship to Northern Illinois University as Quarterback. He went on to lead Northern Illinois University to a Mid American Conference (MAC) Championship and a victory in the 1983 California Bowl. He was named MVP of his team, he won the MAC “Player of the Year” award (Jefferson Trophy) and was eventually inducted into the National Junior College and Northern Illinois University Halls of Fame.
Following his college career, he continued on to a seven-year career in the NFL playing for the Atlanta Falcons, Los Angeles Rams, Buffalo Bills and the Pittsburgh Steelers. During his tenure, he was noted as one of the top Special Team players in the league being voted Special Teams Captain, NFL Runner Up for Special Teams Player of the Year, NFL Pro Bowl 1st Alternate two years in a row, and Special Teams Player of the Year with the LA Rams. Five years after NFL retirement, he went on to play one year in Europe as Quarterback for the Branschwieg Lions located in Germany.
The NFLPA Retired Players-Chicago Chapter has a 501c3 side organization called “The Retired Professional Football Players of Chicago/Dollars for Scholars”. Tim has been instrumental in this organization that raises money for eight $10,000 scholarships as well as annually identifies four youth football programs in need of new equipment and purchases it for them.
Tim is unmarried with no children and lives in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. He enjoys softball, working out, classic rock, old time radio shows, and spending time with his family which includes his mom, six brothers and sisters, and eleven nieces and nephews.
Dane Dodd Corporate National Trainer

Dane Dodd is the Corporate National Trainer for Contemporary Services Corporation. In this capacity, he prepares, delivers, and evaluates training for more than 38 CSC branch offices around the nation in addition to a number of independent clients. Prior to joining CSC, Mr. Dodd was an Associate Security Manager for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City where he managed electronic security, physical security, and emergency preparedness. Prior to that, Mr. Dodd served as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps where, amongst other assignments, he was responsible for developing instructional curriculum on defensive tactics, anti-terrorism and force protection for Marine Corps University in Quantico, Virginia. Mr. Dodd is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) within ASIS International. He is also a master trainer with the Department of Homeland Security, the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security, and T.E.A.M. Coalition. Mr. Dodd is a graduate of the University of Florida and lives in Jacksonville, Florida with his family.
